India Gold Prospecting & Exploration Explorer
Gold Prospecting in India
Research documented gold districts, mines, exploration areas and evidence-gap screens while keeping geology, mineral rights, land access, prospecting authority and recovery permission separate.

Aurala–Sawali G4 Ba–Au–Ag–Cu–Pb–W Block
NMET lists the Aurala–Sawali G4 block as a multi-commodity exploration project explicitly including Au together with Ba, Ag, Cu, Pb and W.
Primary source: NMET — Aurala–Sawali G4 Project Proposal
Bachkakocha–Tankocha G4 Gold & Base-Metal Block
NMET geological reporting documents G4 exploration for gold and base metal in the Bachkakocha–Tankocha Block JH-06, including gold geochemical-anomaly mapping.
Primary source: NMET — Bachkakocha–Tankocha G4 Geological Report
Barapani Sector Gold-Target Research Context
Barapani forms part of the current GSI Barapani–Tyrsad prospectivity-mapping corridor; GSI separately identifies Precambrian gneisses in Meghalaya as future gold-target terrain.
Primary source: Ministry of Mines Annual Report 2025–26 — Barapani–Tyrsad Prospectivity Mapping
Bargur Belt — Southern Kolar Schist Belt Gold Context
The NMET proposal places Bargur in the southern extension of the Kolar Schist Belt and documents prior gold investigations and auriferous amphibolite enclaves.
Primary source: NMET/MECL — Bargur G4 Gold Proposal
Bhagvati Gold Block — G3
NMET project material defines a G3 preliminary survey for gold and associated minerals in Bhagvati Block within the Hungund–Kushtagi Schist Belt; prior GSI G4 work reported gold occurrences and old workings in surrounding terrain.
Primary source: NMET — Bhagvati Gold Block G3 DPR
Bhukia–Jagpura Gold & Associated Minerals Block
Rajasthan Government notified the 9.4026 sq km Bhukia-Jagpura block for grant of a Mining Lease; state auction records show the Gold block auctioned in May 2024.
Primary source: Rajasthan Gazette — Bhukia-Jagpura mineral block
Bilaspur Siwalik Paleoplacer-Gold Context
The state mineral-resource report identifies paleoplacer gold as small flakes in Middle and Upper Siwalik coarse sand and pebbly beds, including Bilaspur district.
Primary source: Government of Himachal Pradesh — Mineral Resources of Himachal Pradesh
Bodal Gold-Associated Polymetal Research Block
NMET proposal material reports Au-As-Ag-Ce anomalies and identifies the Bodal area as prospective for Cu, Pb, Au and Ag within a broader polymetal exploration context.

How to use this India gold map
1. Confirm gold evidence
Use the evidence field to distinguish an operating mine, a historic field and a reconnaissance or preliminary exploration area.
2. Check mineral rights
Gold is not treated as a casual free-for-all collecting resource. Confirm the applicable concession, lease, auction or exploration framework before field activity.
3. Check surface access separately
Land access and mineral rights are different questions. Private, government, forest, protected and leased land can impose separate restrictions.
4. Treat pins as references
Pins show safe public locality context where available. They do not reveal working faces, shafts, unpublished targets or a place to start digging.
How evidence is presented
Source class
Each card identifies whether its primary source is a government/statutory source, a research publication, or another reference source. This classification describes the source—not field permission.
Confidence
Confidence reflects the strength of the evidence supporting the record as a research reference. It does not mean the location is open, safe, accessible or legal for prospecting.
Mapped vs query-only
Mapped records use conservative public locality references. Query-only records intentionally withhold a pin where a safe public orientation point is unavailable or could imply a target.
Review date
The checked date is shown on every record so readers can distinguish recently reviewed evidence from older source material that may require re-verification.
Coverage intelligence
The live profile summarizes record mix, field-status mix, source strength and the leading states or districts without changing the underlying evidence.
Map/list synchronization
Selecting a public reference marker highlights its matching research card. Map-app buttons open only that conservative locality-level reference in Google Maps, Apple Maps, OpenStreetMap or the device’s default mapping app.
Progressive results
The map evaluates the complete filtered dataset while detailed cards load in manageable groups for faster national-page interaction. Record counts always refer to the full current view.
View exports
Export View downloads the current filtered research set. Export Saved remains a separate personal shortlist export, and neither export turns a record into a field destination.
Current coverage
The national explorer covers Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Ladakh, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Offshore India with source-linked gold-evidence and screening records. Regions with a substantial gold-locality corpus receive dedicated indexable pages; evidence-gap regions can remain map-only/noindex. Gold prospecting stays separate from general metal detecting and rockhounding intent. Controlled mines and exploration targets remain research references; any map navigation opens only the public locality reference and never implies prospecting permission or a verified access point.
Use source class, confidence, map coverage and the individual field-status lines as separate evidence. Re-check current mineral tenure, land access, forest/protected-area rules and any state-specific requirements before field activity.
