Ireland uses site-level access. Geological Survey Ireland states that most County Geological Sites are on private land and there is no right to visit them without landowner permission. Public geopark, beach, mine-heritage or National Park access is not specimen-removal permission; only explicitly managed visitor activities are classified as collecting.
