COUNTRY FIELD GUIDE

Norway Rockhounding Map & Field Guide

Norway coverage separates landowner-approved collector mines from ordinary right-to-roam access. The new Mineral Resources Act took effect on 1 July 2026, and public access to uncultivated land is not blanket permission to remove minerals or enter mine workings. Use the individual site permission and current owner/operator instructions.

Access rule: Public access, a map pin or a geological occurrence does not by itself create collecting permission. Follow the individual record and current landowner, operator, protected-area and posted rules.
