Denmark has several genuine public or managed fossil-hunting sites, but each site has its own cliff, quarry and tool rules. Exceptional fossils, minerals, rocks or meteorites may be declared Danekræ; such finds belong to the State and must be delivered to the Natural History Museum of Denmark or another recognized natural-history museum.
