Why Arunachal Pradesh matters for graphite, vanadium, limestone and Himalayan geology
IBM 2024 reports about 76 million tonnes of graphite resources and substantial limestone resources in Arunachal Pradesh, while recent exploration includes Kugitago–Miya and Daba Gamlin vanadium/graphite work, Upper Siang and Kurung Kumey limestone/dolomite surveys and Lower Siang phosphatic nodules. Earlier official exploration and the state Gazetteer add polymetallic sulphides, quartzite, serpentinite, fossil-bearing Gondwana rocks and the Dedza–Menga carbonate belt. The explorer maps that geology conservatively without implying recreational access.
